Poseidon - Helsinki

My favourite kind of cellar bar. Dim, lots of wood, booths, cosy, you can peer out at the street between plants. Books and games, diverse clientele, friendly, mid-level music you can talk over. Wine on draft, oh yes.

Nice spot for a quiet drink. Polite staff and cold beer.

It is closest pub to Gran Marina hotel, around 5 min walk towards tram stop. Pub is nicely furnished and decorated, seats comfortable. Most visitors spoke Finnish however they also were the hotel guests. Beer rather pricey, 6x 0.5L and we were €54 shorter

A quiet little out of the way bar. It’s quite dark and dingy inside with timber finishing everywhere. Not a lot of people there on the two occasions we drank there.

Fantastic little find, passed may times before but never ventured in. Staff over-friendly in that they spoke English straight back, so couldn't expand on basic Finnish. Recommended a perfectly fine replacement for my chosen beer. Friendly locals, fine break from the snowstorms!
