My friend and I sang on 10th juli in the restaurant. it was quite a quiet evening, but the ambiente was not in any wise. we were warmly welcomed by heidi when we arrived, and she cared for us and the others alone. as from the hospitality industry, I really appreciate an active and knowledgeable service, and heidi integrated that perfectly. we asked about the varieties of some weeps that she knew like the back of her hand. to help us choose between two weeps, she offered us to taste us both as the bottles were already open. this was particularly impressive as it showed the consciousness for their workstation; in many restaurants the tasting is not offered, and in some cases if the server is interested enough, it offers to check the bar whether the bottles are open. heidi didn't have to move from her place to do this; she just knew it. eating was absolutely delicious, brilliant in his concept and pairings, and aesthetic, very beautiful. but what really made the experience special was heidi. out of curiosity I even took a piece of paper to see if it would remove it while cleansing the dishes; as expected, she passed. with regard to eating, we had two portions of the Finnish sweet soup, one of the main with the carrots, quinoa etc., a side of pesto gnocchi and a part of the traditional pancakes with strawberries and basilikum. the last touch to the appetizers and were given at the table by heidi when they poured the boar sauce. all the dishes were really so good, but the carrot sauce of the main dish was maybe something too salty. the brooms and potatoes in the suppe were cooked for perfection; her outer was not muddy and the inner was not bland. the carrot in the main court almost melted in our mouth. it might have been cooked first and then slightly grilled to give the crispy texture on the outside and have a softer inner. also a special mention for the basilikum; such an innovative icy taste that surprisingly blends perfectly with the earthy and yes, before I forget, the house made brot and butter are probably one of the best I ever had in the world, giving craft brote from French boulange a run for her money. Many thanks for this culinary experience; we will certainly recommend this place to our colleagues and also return to the future itself. and to the management heidi is a star! you know their consciousness, their happy escape and their fast reflexes are so good for the restaurant.
The Nordic but mainly Finnish ingredients combined in a menu that was the best I had eaten in helsinki in summer 2018. I can only recommend it in winter and try.
We had the vegan tasting menu. all agreed, they absolutely did. incredibly well-made healthy eating. excellent selection of organic and organic wines. great vibe and attentive staff that explains everything in such detail that they knew that they were really interested in high-quality eating. if they are vegan and looking for a place to eat, they would be crazy not to taste some of the best food I've ever eaten, hang down.
Have been here with friends, they love it. Have been here with family, they love it too! Amazing Finnish and Scandinavian food, only local ingredients and friendly and relaxed service. Suitable for groups and business events to showcase real Finnish food as well as casual evenings with family and friends!
