It started when we walked in, I had booked for 2 but we brought our kids making it 4 persons and the owner contested that we hadn 't booked accordingly and that they would have to try and accommodate the change in seating requirements no hello, no let 's see if we can help you anyway, no smile. It was a Thursday evening at 6:30 and we arrived at the peak of the night with the other 3 seatings already there in an otherwise empty restaurant. We ordered a banquet for 2 $60 p.p. (DO NOT ORDER THE BANQUET IT 'S A RIP OFF!!!! and we were served 3 dips, an assortment of fried starters i.e. falafels etc. blood sausages (gross and a tabouli salad which had spring onion in it which we had asked for no raw onion of any variety and when questioned was told by the owner this is not the same as onion and had no interest in substituting or offering an alternative. Then came our main, 2 chicken kebabs (which were actually OK and 2 greasy lamb kebabs which I can only assume is an acquired taste. These came with a massive mound of potatoes which is obviously how you are supposed to fill up... And as for the bill coming to $120 for 2 people (kids no charge because they eat from the adult allocated portion is terrible value as we could 've gone to a half decent bistro and had 4 mains and walked away not looking for something else else to eat. No baklava or tea to finish to add a final insult... horrible service, outrageous price for what 's delivered in both quality and quantity, never going again and strongly recommend you don 't either. First time here, we’re already enjoyably impressed with the food as offered by this Lebanese restaurant. We had seafood platter meat of the day. We chose goat meat instead of lamb shank for their meat of the day. As for the seafood platter, we may have tasted the presence of nutmeg in it. Nutmeg is the seed (or the ground spice derived from that seed) of several tree species of the genus Myristica, fragrant nutmeg, or true nutmeg (i.e. Myristica fragrans an evergreen tree indigenous to the Maluku Islands of Indonesia). We’d keep coming back for their Lebanese dishes, as this restaurant is located conveniently close to Heidelberg train station too apart from having ample parking in this area.
