Penny's Diner - Hearne

I dined at this restaurant about two years ago and loved their burgers, so when we were passing through Hearne, we decided to stop for dinner. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was quite unpleasant; the room was filled with smoke that made our eyes burn. The floor was dirty, with food scraps under several booths and paper scattered everywhere. While our waitress wasn't rude, she was rather curt when taking our order. The burgers were just okay and didn't live up to our memories. To top it off, my husband witnessed the cook tapping the garbage can with the spatula she was using to cook. We won’t be stopping by again.
