I seriously don 't understand the point of this location. It receives minimal attention. I can 't tell you the number of times I have gone out of my way to get there, park (which is not always easy), only to see they have changed their hours, left early for the day, left a (not cute) sign saying, Bee right back. And yet I still return, now for the last time. So this time I show up and they are out of bananas, with no sign to indicate so. How are you out of bananas? Note: Most of their smoothies, or at least the ones I like, are made with bananas. The alternative, per the youngster, was mango or pineapple. That 's not banana, and I 'm sorry, but for a $12 smoothie, I 'm not experimenting. I like the recipes just as they are, and I 'm certain mango or pineapple would NOT have worked for this smoothie. So I peruse the menu to find something else while girl is standing annoyed, and then the little 'tude I received when I said I would pass not acceptable. It long ago became frustrating, and has now just become such a disappointment. The concept is great, and I have always enjoyed my purchases, but I just give up. I can make them at home. It seems like a waste of a really great location.
They açaí bowl is a disappointment! Very little toppings and the açaí berry taste is not pronounced at all plus it’s pretty liquid
Great cold pressed juices. Awesome smoothies. Friendly staff. Just off the plaza in Healdsburg.
In regards to acai bowls, if you care about high-quality and ultra-healthy then this is your place. If you care about good value and good taste (i.e. sugary) then this is not your place.Usually when going to get an acai bowl I expect, as I suspect most people do, a good tasting (i.e. somewhat sugary) but otherwise clean treat/dessert. I ordered the Berry Blissness bowl and it was both not good value and not tasty by common standards. In terms of value the granola was sparse and not mixed in with the blended base. There were maybe 4 strawberries total and 1/3 of a banana for $11. I do not believe this is good value. There were also not nuts topping the bowl which is commonplace. I am sure the margins are reduced by the high quality of ingredients but at the end of the day it didn 't feel like a good deal. (Pls enlighten me owner)In terms of taste, the bowl is really not that sweet and doesn 't taste great by regular standards. The blended base is rather flavorless and not sweet. The granola is not made with oats but buckwheat. The granola tastes bland, is unsweetened and has texture similar to Ezekiel branded sprouted cereal. (Healthy but not tasty to avg consumer). This is fine because it is a place that is 'ultra-healthy ' but I, as with most other normal customers, go to acai places for something tasty but relatively clean. Had I known it would have not tasted great, I wouldn 't have gone. I don 't usually leave reviews but I just felt like I didn 't get what is the reasonable expectation given the overall market of acai bowls in California. Please be nice to me owner...I 'm just being honest!!
