Towns Takeaway - Hawera

Probably the best place in Hāwera for Indian cuisine. The menu/recipes of the food served are customised or “fusioned” for the Kiwi tastebuds. Tried both the Chef’s Special Goat and Venison curry combos, and they are worth trying. Probably, this is the only Indian restaurant in Taranaki or North Island that serves Venison. The service was excellent, and the food was served within reasonable time. The person who took my order was friendly and also recommended the spice levels. The quantity/quality of the food served was worth the money. The naan was thin and well cooked unlike other Indian restaurants that serve soft/chewy/rubbery. The only negative was both goat and venison recipes/masala were similar, and tasted bit sweeter (too much of onions? . Would have been better if Chef made one of the dishes differently (black pepper based? to highlight the goat or venison flavour. Will definitely visit this place whenever I cross Hawera.
