The cabinets were full of delicious food and most reasonably priced to what we had been paying elsewhere. The lady behind the counter was so lovely. We certainly will come again. Service great.
Coffee . not bad. Iced coffee with a hint of caramel devine!!!. good range of hot and cold food. hot chips , chicken, kebabs, sandwiches, rolls, sweet slices, pies sausage rolls and a range of cooked meals: eg ; eggs, bacon baked beans , steak. Not a flash place but food good value and tasty. Popular with locals. Try their *kiwi* sausage roll... a different take on a sausage roll and mighty tasty!
12/10 Pies were great. The mince and cheese had real cheese. The pastry was phenomenal. Great location next to the roundabout so there’s always something to watch. The man completing the Rubik’s cube next to us was very good at it. Locals are friendly, one man rode past with a bucket of beers on his bike. He had great chats with the guy doing the rubik’s. Fridges actually kept the drinks very cold. 1.9 degrees Celsius. A vast improvement on many of the other stops we’ve made this holiday which only chilled there drinks to 15 degrees Celsius, leaving them disappointingly under satisfying… I’m not even thirsty and I’m thinking of getting another drink it was that good!! Conveniently located close to the Sportswear store. The nativity scene in the second hand store next door was a lovely touch also. I would not recommend leaving Hawera without making at least one stop here. It really is the heart and soul of this thriving metropolis. Big ups to the team for making this such a great stop…much love. Can’t wait to come back.
Open early, huge variety of bfast options and snack takeaways, new items like a garlic-prawn curry pie for extra variety. Have been here a few times over the years, never a dud. Plenty of parking too.
The coffee was excellent and the service was quick the food was great all though I feel the big breakfast should be just that a big breakfast however for the price it was ok and arrived quickly and tasted great price is reasonable but the atmosphere was a let down with children crying and music only played as we left good place to stop if your in a hurry the range of pastries looked great but can’t say if they were or not on the plus it was open on a Saturday and in Hawera there aren’t many open we might eat there again but only after trying the others on the strip so I have given it a four out of five stars
