Plaisir Gourmand - Hatley

We enjoyed an exceptional meal here on a recent vacation to the Eastern Townships. Had the six course tasting menu with wine pairings over about three hours. Each course was fantastic and artfully presented. Especially enjoyed the scallop ceviche paired with Union Libre fire cider. The setting is serene and warm. Excellent service. Was expensive but worth the splurge for a truly fine dining experience.

The food and wine pairings are superb. The service is impeccable. Many ingredients come from the chef's own garden in the back. Uncontestably the most exciting retaurant in the area. Not to be missed!!!

We spent our weekend to celebrate my sweetheart birthday in a nice place and to have a special night. The owners of Manoir Tricorne (beautiful domaine to stay) recommended us the Plaisir Gourmand restaurant. It was a perfect place to have a good time with friends having a very good gourmet meal in a very pleasant atmosphere. We stay almost four hours and we never realized that. Perfect synchronization of the four orders and drinks. Definitely a place to return

This was our sixth annual visit to Plaisir Gourmand, which uses locally sourced Quebec products. As usual we had a wonderful dining experience. The appetizer, an avocado panna cotta with tomatoes was amazing. Everyone really liked their starters, the boar rillettes, the scallops with pineapple and white chocolate, and the smoked salmon bonbons. Our main courses, lamb shanks, halibut and beef were all delicious. The "revisited" strawberry shortcake and lavender creme brulee desserts were great. Unlike some friends and reviewers, we have always felt welcomed. While the service can be perceived as slow, dinner there is not something to be rushed. I can't wait until next summer.

I have eaten at this restaurant at least 6 times , This is a gem far from teh beaten track ,at least if from the big city . One cannot go wrong here, the owners are fabulous , fodd is "wopnderfulllll" preparation is impeccable . Last time we got the "in the kitchen table" it was fantastic - right in the action and watching the food being prepared is unique. I will do it gain and agian
