The steaks were perfect and the sides interesting and tasty. Very recommended, a bit out of the way to find this place. (Only complaint: Must Love Pepper. A little heavy hand in all dishes. Oh, and the bar serves fantastic cocktails!
I came here with my entire National Guard unit which had to have been close to 100 people, maybe more (they knew in advance we were coming and we rented the whole place out). We definitely put the staff through their paces but they did an incredible job keeping up and doing it with a smile. The drinks on the cocktail menu were all phenomenal (the saddle brone beer is some of the best beer I've ever had), food was outstanding and of course the atmosphere makes this a really cool spot. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be stopping by and I suggest you do the same.
Probably the best prime rib i have ever had. Southwest corn was good, an interesting preparation I'd never seen before. Served with mashed potatoes. Really good bartender. We were in a large group, more than 100 people, the only real downside was that the service was slow, but that is because of our large party. Cesar salad was also delicious. Both indoor and outdoor seating, gorgeous scenery, horseshoes out back. Lots of cool historical quirky details about the place. It was great.
The history of this place is an obvious draw, and the food doesn't disappoint. We had ribeyes with the sides and salad it comes with, and they were delicious. What did disappoint was the staff. We made a reservation, got seated, and were ignored for over ten minutes. When we asked for service we were told the entire restaurant had one waiter. A girl who was not a waitress was pressed into service to keep up, and she did a great job helping us. However someone in the kitchen literally forgot to make our order and we waited almost an hour for our food. This place is super cool and would have been a perfect place to enjoy a fine dinner if they had their staffing issues worked out.
The best in wyoming! worth the journey from anywhere in the state. prime bark meat, which is cooked exactly as ordered. Yes, I like my steak rarely. the service is great, the owners are great, and the history of the place is fascinating.
