Best sushi in Westchester and better than many places in NYC. Anyone looking for extravagant rolls drowning in sauce will be at the wrong place in Hajime; they are wonderful in their simplicity, letting the quality of their fish do the talking. They also have traditional izakaya items. Staff is always helpful and caring and the chefs will always greet you like you are family. Highly recommended.

Hajime never disappoints. The sushi is made with expertise and care and you can taste it in their creations! The staff is gracious and kind. We just tried the aged tofu Dashi with sauce for the first time and it blew us away. Can’t wait to come back!

If you're a hardcore sushi fan and you're never feet in this facility, you can even call yourself a real sushi lover? This place has exceeded all my expectations with its tasteful food. The first bite of sushi in me pure bliss; the balanced aromas of vinegar and fish intertwine smoothly. And don't let me start the fish, the fish is super fresh, and I can taste the trouble that went into the procurement of this high-quality ingredient. The simple act of tasting food has given me an immense respect for the art of sushi masters and the pride on their crafts. Eating here is an experience I will never forget, and I am excited to come back, hungry for more.

Japanese cuisine, fresh fresh fish, first-class service and false soup, which is the best in Westchester. This is the real thing, a local mother/pop shop that brings me memories of meals in Osaka and Kyoto. I'm happy enough to have found this place years ago, and even happier it's still around. If all you care is decoration and quantity, do not disturb come. If you care about quality and comfort, then don't look further, this is your last stop for authentic Japanese outside Manhattan.

The staff at this restaurant are passionate about sushi cuisine. Their traditional Japanese sushi is fantastic. I highly recommend trying the Hajime Special and substituting tobiko with uni.
