Broth is thick and flavourful, pho is cooked just nice. Long queue at all times, open only in the morning and at night, worth the wait. Don't forget the dough fritters and the egg.
The best pho my wife or I have ever had, even after a week in Hanoi. I recommend western foreigners going early in the trip when they're waking up super early as when we went at 630am it was crowded but we could order pretty much right away and get a seat but by the time we finished a queue had built up. Generally the pho broth in Hanoi tastes much beefier and has a lot more fat in it than we are used to but it's so good and this was the definitive version we had in Hanoi. I made mine spicy but my wife kept hers as is and we both agreed this was the best. Oh and definitely get the little fried dough things, they're amazing and were better here than anywhere else we had (although morning freshness might be the reason there). Basically a churro with no cinnamon or sugar great as is or dipped in broth.
This is definitely a must stop while visiting Hanoi. And authentic and truly delicious pho place served in Hanoi style. Despite being and keeping its local style, this place is crowded. Be patient as you may have to wait for 5 min to finally buy your dish. Then, get a table in the small restaurant. Being as popular and crowded as it is, you'd better finish your dish soon and leave. The average pho soup costs around 55,000 VD. Worth the waiting!
This restaurant was closed every time when I visited but I could have a breakfast today! I think it's the best pho restaurant in Hanoi. Beef on pho is good!
Big Pho-Bo! super crowded, but line goes fast. best they have one more person to help them get places. it is friendly for both local and foreign countries.
