Schlosskuche Herrenhausen - Hannover

After waiting an hour for our food (and previously being assured we has only 10 more minutes to wait), we were told it would be 30 minutes more! We left hungry. Avoid.

What a perfect way to finish a tour of the beautiful gardens at Herrenhausen. We had walked and walked as you do. We were looking for a nice light lunch and we found it here. Soup of the day and a glass of Riesling never tasted so good. Service was welcoming and professional. English was not a problem. Overall a very classy establishment rare in tourist destinations. Highly recommended!

Being adjacent Herrenhausen Gardens, you can expect to pay touristy prices here. Our waitress was super nice and cheerful. We had a pleasant experience except for one very rude older waiter who shooed us don 't stand here, go to whichever table you want after we asked for a table for 2. Well excuse us for mistaking this fine establishment to be able to seat guests. The hot chocolate and apple tart were both ok.

The restaurant has very nice staff who speaks perfect English. The atmosphere is very calm so don't expect a fast lunch, instead just lean back and enjoy the lunch. We ate wild boar bologense and risotto and we're happy with our choices.

I had lunch here on a cold November day with my mother, we just walked into the place after having visited the palace. It was late-ish for lunch but service came with a smile. The venison was absolutely delicious as was the hot chocolate. Nice seasonal ingredients menu. The restaurant itself is pleasantly and elegantly decorated. I would love to go again!
