Excellent, fresh tasty food. Quiet ambience. Highly recommend! Soups and salads are delicious and all main courses that we tried were delicious as well.
We had an exquisite dinner at Rampoldi's paired with a very convincing selection of wines. This certainly seems to be a part of the culinary must-have's of a the city of Hannover
Before going to Hanover, I had found a restaurant ( Feuchters Lila Kranz) on the Internet that was rated in the top ten and had a very appealing menu. Upon arrival at our hotel, I asked the desk to call the listed number to confirm that they were open and to make reservations. Mission accomplished. However, upon arrival at the listed address, the restaurant was now named Rampoldi. The manager said that this error has been going on for years - apparently the old Internet listing is still circulating. Anyhow, excellent soups and chef's special appetizer was spectacular. My wife's lamb dish was exceptional. The rest of our meals were not quite as outstanding, but were very good. Being the middle of February and on a weeknight, only a few other tables were occupied, but that just allowed for more attentive service to us. Overall, a very nice evening for very reasonable cost..
This was our third visit there and I'm already looking forward to visiting again - this speaks both for the consistency of quality and the menu innovativeness that makes it worth visiting each time.My prior reviews on service, ambiance and taste speak for themselves so I will highlight 3 aspects that stand out for the food.- Presentation: great right from the innovative cutlery, dishes etc. The dessert plate was a composite 3-cup service - cool.- Freshness of ingredients: crunchy vegetable, flavorful meat - great all the way- Composition: Each time we have enjoyed the uniquely innovative creations from the chef by going for the 3-course menu. The starter was a carrot ginger soup with Chorizo - delicious and so much better than typical repetitive menus. Ditto for the main course that had a medley of vegetables perfectly complementing the beef. The dessert was special - 3 cups combined together to have berries, panna cotta and the 3rd of exquisite marscopone cream - yum! Add moderate prices, great service from the owner and it's a treat to go there.
