Skrimp Shack - Hampton

This restaurant was truly outstanding! When I’m on vacation, I often set my expectations a bit lower when it comes to food since I'm trying unfamiliar places, which can sometimes lead to disappointment. However, the fried fish here surpassed anything I can find back home! It's rare for me to leave a vacation restaurant wishing I had one nearby, but this is definitely an exception. The portions are incredibly generous, and the sweet tea is the best I've had away from home—it's actually brewed there! Also, make sure to save some space for the banana pudding; it's delicious as well. The staff is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall experience. I can't recommend this place highly enough! Give it a try, and you won’t be disappointed.

Quick service and fantastic food! We enjoyed a spicy shrimp Po’boy and catfish tacos topped with lettuce and a zesty sauce. The Po’boy was stuffed with lightly breaded medium shrimp on a freshly baked sub-roll. The tacos were delicious as well, and the new potato salad was refreshingly cold and tangy! We came from a distance, and it was definitely worth the journey!

I recently dined here for the first time, and I had the most amazing and generously sized flounder sandwich! It was so delicious and fresh that even though I struggled to finish it, I couldn't resist. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return soon. I also want to mention that my server was very professional and kind.

Wowowow! First impression counts, and let me tell you Skrimp Shack knocked it out of the park! My husband and I went there Wednesday night and upon pulling up in the little shopping center, we saw that there was a line. I mean, that's always good news, right? Lines mean good food! The restaurant is very very very bright and clean. I love their menu board, and the little posters and little sayings hanging on the wall. They were funny and really brought the decoration together. The service was very quick, and even though there were quiet a few people in front of us who ordered we were out of there between 10-15 minutes. During my time there, I saw the servers cleaning and making sure that the self serve soda section was clean and well stocked with essentials. Our order was one crabmeat and skrimp po' boy, fat flounder sandwich, and sweet potato fries. When the bill came up, I was a little shocked because I found it a bit pricey. Going home though, and seeing the sandwiches the prices and warranted! The po' boy was STACKED. I mean shrimp on shrimp on fat shrimp with chunks of crabmeat. You can tell that it's actually shrimp instead of those frozen things you get that's overly breaded. The sandwich on the other hand was just bursting with fish. It did get a bit messy though so I'm glad I got to eat it in the privacy of my own because I went to TOWN. The sweet potato fries were also so so so tasty. So much that they didn't even make it home and my husband snacked on them on the way home. A Skrimp Shack! You have loyal customers in us!

Cheap, fresh fried seafood joint that delivers the goods when you need a fast fish n' chips fix! Shrimp was also great and I heard the chicken is too! Great staff took care of us, go get some!
