We don't have high expectations when it comes to decor, so the somewhat authentic Vietnamese ambiance was actually quite pleasant. After having made Spring Rolls at home countless times and ordering them whenever we go to Vietnamese restaurants, we've experienced a wide range of versions. While the ones we tried here may not have been completely authentic, my wife and I both agreed they were the best we've ever tasted. None of the hard little cigars that might have been made hours or days before—everything was fresh! We opted for the chicken filling instead of the typical pork and shrimp, and we were pleasantly surprised by the light texture, perfect wrap, and overall appeal of the dish. The dipping sauce was a bit different from what we're used to, but the spices available on the table allowed us to experiment with various combinations. My wife usually gets a Vermicelli dish and was very happy with her choice. The egg rolls on top could have been a bit fresher. My selection of beef stew with a French baguette was perfectly seasoned, and the crispy rolls made dipping and savoring every bite an essential and unforgettable part of the meal. As I mentioned earlier, we aren't looking for fancy decor—we simply love good food. We believe we've found a gem, especially with the added bonus of a large Asian market just a few doors down. While the two-hour drive limits our visits, this place has certainly made it onto our favorites list.
The prices are quite high, but the Pho is delicious. I've only been there once. I just wish they offered a larger selection of Boba drinks, especially more non-frozen options.
