Dixie House Cafe - Haltom City

I absolutely loved this place! I used to have lunch there once a week for several years before they moved to a different location in the city, which unfortunately doesn't have a Dixie House nearby. I still go when I can, but I wish it were closer so I could enjoy it more often. Dixie House is a café that serves consistently delicious food at affordable prices. It's the epitome of comfort food, served on cafeteria-style plastic plates (the chicken fried steak practically takes up the whole plate) and arrives just minutes after you order. If you're looking for something like veal with a balsamic demi-glaze, you'll be disappointed. But if you're in the mood for simple American dishes that remind you of your grandmother's cooking, then take a seat and come hungry!

The food was served hot and tasted amazing. The service was fast and very friendly. It’s in a fantastic location.

Always great meals. The roast is great, so is the chicken steak.
