Cajuntex Hallsville

I always enjoy dining at this restaurant, usually at the Marshall location. However, when I arrived at the Hallsville location, I was disappointed to find that it was closed and had a "for rent" sign in the window. We were looking at the menu on Google Maps during the drive to decide what to order. It would have been helpful to know that they had closed before making the trip from Longview.

The Ponchatrain dishes we tried, including the El Paso Chicken Salad, Cajun Burger, Pasta Chicken Caesar Salad, and Blueberry Bread Pudding, were all outstanding. We'll definitely return when we're in the area!

I visited this restaurant for the first time and had a wonderful experience. A gentleman was singing classic songs, which really enhanced the evening. There was a wide selection of meals and appetizers to choose from. I opted for the Cajun chicken, which was served with crawfish étouffée and dirty rice. My wife ordered the shrimp pasta and found it to be very flavorful. We received generous portions and ended up with leftovers. It's a great place to try, and we definitely plan to come back. The staff did an excellent job and were very friendly.

WOW!!!! We just had the best meal! Crawfish etouffee, gumbo, boudin egg rolls, our 3&5yo girls shared the kids grilled fish and veggies, and we had the chocolate and peach fried pies! Absolutely amazing. And it was such a reprieve after driving all day!

Great food. Wish I had one closer to where I live. Cajun Bear Po Boy and Garlic fries is what you need to order. ??
