Halls Harbour Lobster Pound

This is a good spot to go for your Maritime lobster dinner. It is right on the water, with a scenic harbour, amazing high-low tides, picturesque rocky beach and fresh lobsters. They have fixed up the place over the past few years, with more outdoor patio seating, a bigger gift shop, an ice cream bar, etc. The lobster meal was very good, complete with melted butter, Cole slaw and a bun. It was a bit expensive, but you just know you've got to do it. The ice cream afterwards was good too. Enjoy it on the beach.

The location is great and you’re kind of stuck with this place, but the food is frankly terrible. Seafood pasta dish drowning in some kind of fake butter oily yuck! And there wasn’t much seafood in it either. If you’re headed for Halls Harbour, eat somewhere else before or after.

Hall's Harbour is a lovely spot. But the seafood chowder is not that great. I found it was short on seafood, and it lacked much onion, celery and potato. The thick floury base is not my preference, although it may be for others.

Very interesting restaurant gift shop. Lots of great souvenirs, really nice facility, and great food. I had the lobster roll and fries. Lobster roll was delicious, with lots of lobster and just nicely mixed with mayo. Very good flavour. Fries were great too. Next time, I would have a nice cold beer or glass of Chardonnay instead of coffee.

Thank you for the wonderful lunch. Staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Very cheery and kind. We had scallops and fish chips. Absolutely delicious! We will be back!
