Safron Bakery Cafe - Hagerstown

If you haven?t been here you are missing out. Fresh breakfast and fast, amazing dessert, and friendly staff! I live a little far but I still try to make it here once a week. Did I mention amazing dessert?!

Yummy!!! I've tried their pastries, the sandwiches, and even the wedding cake. Always delicious, never disappointed. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Owner (Al) is so kind, and skilled!

We stopped a Safron Bakery on our way to Buffalo from Northern Virginia. Google maps lead us a merry chase in finding them (it's a 2020 building and Maps has not caught up as of July 2021) but it was very much worth the adventure! One of the best lattes I've had and the croissant was spot on! Tip for finding them search for the Sheetz on Eastern next to the shopping center Safron is in.

We stopped by at lunch time. We got a Pesto Roast beef sandwich on an asiago bagel. It was a great sandwich. The roast beef was piled on an sliced thin so it was super tender. The tomatoes and lettuce, provolone cheese and the pesto was very delicious. The asiago bagel was very good also. We also had the California Salad. The avocado was ripe the goat cheese was great, the tomatoes were fresh and ripe, there was roasted corn, the lettuce was a spring mix. The dressing was a balsamic vinaigrette that was very good. We also had baklava and a cannoli. All of the food and desserts were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We sat outside at one of there tables and one of the young men brought out our food. That was very nice and unexpected. The prices were very good. The food was all very good. Thank you for a great lunch experience. We will be back.

This bakery used to be near my house I remember it being good. But I went yesterday to its new location ordered a chocolate muffin 2 bacon egg cheese croissants. The muffin was hard as a rock I couldn?t even break it apart. I asked if they had something fresher they did bring me out a warm muffin that was much softer. The croissants were fine, but the egg was over cooked (brown) I?ve gotten more bacon on a McDonalds sandwich. It was so thin only 2 small pieces. It was very disappointing I don?t think I?ll be returning.
