If you’ve seen any of my other pizza reviews, you’ll know that I’m on the hunt for NY style pizza in Ohio. Been disappointed so far, and this one was the worst, regardless what type pizza it’s being compared to. Besides the fact that when I asked for garlic knots I was given cheesy garlic bread (there are no garlic knots), and when I asked for a pizza with chicken, bacon, and bbq sauce I was given one with pineapple as well (apparently that’s their special), here is the grading of the pizza itself: Cheese 1/5 very bad mouth feel. Too much cheese/crust ratio. Crust 1/5 I don’t know if I’d call this pizza crust. It’s more like a really thick, unsweetened, tart crust. It seems as if there’s no raising agent in the dough. The edge crust seems to only have height from being built that way, not from rising. Very crunchy, no air at all. The bottom crust has no form. So incredibly thin it just flops. That’s not what “thin crust” means. Can’t critique the sauce since we got a bbq pizza. The bbq sauce alone though was an issue. WAY too sweet. I don’t know if it was from the bbq, but the pizza was oddly pink, like a bathroom from the 80’s. They did remake the pizza, without the pineapple. No refund though. We definitely will not be coming here again. The search continues. I deliver from here a lot. Food gets to where it's going as fast as legally possible with most of the drivers. Let me start by saying taste is subjective. I also must say I spent 15 years in the pizza biz 20 years ago doing everything from delivery to regional manager. Beyond that I probably consume more pizza than average. So, I was underwhelmed as was my wife. The best thing I can say was the price was good and the service was fine. There just wasn't anything about it that stood out. The crust was stiff and chewy, the sauce was just OK and the toppings were neither outstanding or plentiful.
