Be prepared to get to know the people you are sat next to. Dario does also make an appearance and is very friendly. Parking was easy enough just on the side of the road on the outskirts of the village.
We came here as part of the TV series hype, we were on our eurotrip, and since we were in Firenze, we decided to visit Panzano and Dario. I was expecting a tourist trap, but that definitely wasn't the case. 1) The arrival it's nice, the staff is very welcoming and the wine and snacks are a great reward for the journey 2) the food was delicious, the meat was fresh, tasty and tender, coming from a meat lover, it's hard to fulfill my expectations and oh boy did they. My fear was to find something to adjust my young children taste, no problemo, the meat was so delicious, they enjoyed just the same as a children's menu, without the children stuff. 3) The atmosphere is very relaxing and being at a common table makes it all enjoyable. Dario and his staff are very accommodating and considered of their visitors. I want to try all 3 restaurants now, and definitely will be back, with love from Mexico. P.S. to visit Panzano, make sure you rent a car, or arrange transportation back and forth, otherwise you may feel anxious with the public bus and the scarce availability of them
Antica Macelleria CECCHINI, a highly publicized restaurant, didn't live up to the hype during my recent visit. While the owner's welcoming personality added a special touch, the communal table setup and limited drink options were disappointing. The food, starting with an average beef tartare and carpaccio, progressively declined in quality, with mediocre meat and underwhelming flavors. I won't be returning to this restaurant and would recommend exploring lesser-known local restaurants for a more authentic Chianti experience.
Sosta obbligatoria per gli amanti della carne sana e originale. Un paesino in mezzo alle colline toscane tra vigneti e oliveti del Chianti, piccolo per la sua superficie ma grande per la famosa e conosciutissima macelleria di Dario Cecchini. Ormai è diventata tappa importante in molti itinerari della Toscana. Diciamo che Panzano, oltre al centro storico, attira i suoi turisti anche grazie alla rinomata macelleria di Dario Cecchini. Nelle sale dei suoi ristoranti vicinissimi all'antica macelleria si può degustare, a seconda dell'offerta, un menù a base di prodotti e, naturalmente, di carne preparati dai maestri di Cecchini. Solociccia, Officina della bistecca, Panzanese...qui si provano gli itinerari gastronomici di carne (e naturalmente anche vegetariani). Qualità OTTIMA Prezzi CONFORMI ALLA QUALITÀ Servizio Accoglienza FANTASTICO Porzioni GRANDIOSE ...con i complimenti si potrebbe continuare ma aggiungo solamente che è stata una esperienza UNICA!
