Nola Gumbo - Gretna

Called to ask a question. The guy said they don't do food anymore and hung up. No idea what this place is about, but they're rude, so screw it.

Have eaten here quite a few times as well as had the huckabuck. The gumbo is original and has it's own New Orleans flare while the huckabuck is a delicious additive to complete your meal. Have eaten a lot of gumbo claiming to be the best and have come nowhere close to even being good. I can not say the same for this place. It's consistent, fast, delicious, and just what the doctor ordered if you are a visitor. If you don't believe me....just try it. I promise it won't let you down. PS: TRY THE RIBS..... FINGER LICKING GOOD!!!

Not a bad spot. Went with some friends and got some ribs and the garlic Parmesan wings. We got everything fast and we were in and out. Great place to grab some decent food and be on your way.

After reading the reviews I was really excited to try their gumbo. I was extremely disappointed the chicken and sausage gumbo was a tomato base not from a rue. The other gumbo did not have any seafood in it and little to no meat. The rice is minute rice this is by far not original New Orleans food. The chicken wings were very small and the breading was soggy like wet bread. The grill cheese that they raved about was not buttery and the cheese was kraft American slices. I cannot believe I paid 60 dollars for less than average food that claimed to be so good. Never again. I know what gumbo is supposed to taste like considering I am from New Orleans and live close to this place.
