Tipping is upon discretion when eating inside the establishment. Anyway the pizza had good taste,a little overdone and quite small for $28.00 which included service fee. The staff was understanding and removed the service fee as they understood I was take-out rather than eating at a table.

This review is a long time coming. We have been a HUGE fans of Woodhouse Pizza for the last couple years. I'm sure we've ordered from them 75 100 times. Something I look forward to at the end of every week. We are frequently their first order Thursday or Friday night for take out. So why the two stars? As a consistent loyal customer, I can say that Woodhouse is very inconsistent. I've extended the benefit of the doubt countless times because the vibe is good, the intention is on point, it's not easy to sustain this type of excellent food joint in upstate New York. I'm so grateful they are trying and I am a fan. I want them to succeed. It makes me happy to have a place nearby that takes food seriously, using great ingredients, making great dough. When they are good it's world class, *five stars* and I've lived two decades in places with world class food NYC, LA), plus I travel the world for a hyped reservation or restaurant. I'm definitely a foodie, for better or worse, which is the root of my fandom. However, when Woodhouse is average which it is 40% of the time it's a step up from a corner slice joint, albeit you have to buy a pricey bespoke whole pie. The quality has been noticeably slipping the last couple of months. They just changed their menu Jan/Feb 2023) and it's not nearly as good or fresh. A big disappointing dip in quality. The mozzarella has changed, instead of soft gorgeous fresh slices, it's more generic, decidedly average. Fewer toppings and forgotten toppings. And toppings are $2 4 each so it adds up, but who's going to call to say you forgot my hot honey? Tonight the hot honey was omitted from both our pizzas $4), barely any onion $2), barely any pepperoni $4). Our chicory salad was dry, totally undressed. The new menu features fussy pizzas that *sound* good, but they are inferior to their simpler predecessors. They also nixed my favorite items from the menu stuffed peppadew with prosciutto and mozz I loved them so much, I'd place five orders to last all weekend) and the white pizza which had fresh mozz, fresh ricotta, garlic I'd get it with their fresh sausage and arugula and it was next level terrific). It seems obvious that Woodhouse must have a lot of turn over with their kitchen staff which breaks my heart. I'm guessing they have switched chefs again) or maybe owners I hope not). I'm hoping it's the same owners and they will reconsider the changes they've put into motion because it's not the same as the amazing place they opened. Beyond inconsistency in the food, Woodhouse is also really inconsistent about online ordering. Over the last couple of years, my husband and I have ordered pizza online and driven the 25 minutes to pick it up yes, that's how much I like it when it's good) and five times, it was closed when we got there. Each time, more than an hour of our Friday night lost, we would obviously be hungry, food less and frustrated. Now I typically hire someone to pick up the food for us they don't offer delivery) which adds additional cost again, this shows how much I like it when it's good). After taste testing the menu for the last month, I'm pretty sure it's not worth it. As their longtime fan, Im crestfallen to write this review. I hope they pivot away from their new mediocrity back towards simple excellence.
Way overpriced portions are also too small as a local I feel priced out if my own area Parking: Absolutely terrible, the lot was barely plowed and icy Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
Had a post-wedding brunch there. Food was excellent, staff was great
