Barnwood Restaurant - Catskill

Attended this location for a night out and overall the food and service were good. Upon entering we were greeted right away and seated. There was a brief wait to be waited on, but our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered a popcorn chicken as an appetizer which was spot on. For entrees we each ordered a burger. Both were cooked well, however the bun on one was cold and the other was possibly a bit stale. It would also be nice to see substitution options available for a slight up-charge. For instance the burger comes with fries, but if you wanted onion rings you can only get them as an appetizer. Sort of defeats the meal to have onion rings and fries. It would also be nice to see the sides listed somewhere, as we were only able to find those out when ordering and not while reviewing the menu. If they were listed, they were hard to find. Overall a good place to enjoy a night out and prices for everything seemed reasonable.

I stopped off for a bite to eat with a friend. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the 4 piece fried chicken which was fantastic. The restaurant was clean and well kept. Overall great experience. Looking forward to eating at Barnwood again when I am in town.

That was great. good was great, the service was great until the lunch break was met. we came a little bit before midday, but once midday we met and saw how the people pour in, we saw less of our server. but I understand in this time my wife is a waitress in this time behind pandemic and with a lack of staff I hear struggling so that I was not so upset. Lunch special was fantastic wish that I went a escape after me. in any case. I am from schenectady and was on the way to work. may the long time take to bring the woman to eat. roxanne (our server) was great although

Great little place, in a great location. quesadillas, burger, stripak, fried huh, all right. rib not so good (highly recommended to stay away from them) as our server, she seemed to crack a problem with a smile. but this place is beautifully decorated cozy place try worth.

At our recent visit, my wife had the ravioli flourentin, which was filled with cheese and spinat and was served in a pink cream sauce. the court was tasteful and big enough to go for a box. I chose the jumbo wings that are good, but not jumbo. what was jumbo were the garlic knots. both dishes were very tasty and also needed a to-go box for another day. the service was good in today's world where everyone fights to get help.
