The Halyard - GREENPORT

Pretty solid. The reviews here aren’t super high not really sure why. The size of the dishes are quite small while the price is high. Otherwise I can’t think of a particular problem.

The view is great, simple decor, food served and packaged to take out. We ate inside. The lobster roll was on a beautifully buttered and toasted bun. It was heavy and had a bit of a sweet taste. The gespacho was a purée with bits of peaches and plums.Quite Pricey. Paid for the view.

We had an amazing dinner at Halyard last night! It was my first time at the Sound View hotel and I was blown away by the setting. Truly spectacular views and one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. We ordered the hummus appetizer which was notlike traditional hummus but was absolutely delicious! I had the fluke and my husband had the tuna and both entrees wereexcellent — perfectly cooked and delicious. Passionfruit sangria was so good! Highly recommend going — especially aroundsunset!

Well there 's a reason this a must go to restaurant it knocks it out of the park in every way! Starting with the view, this is a large, open and airy dining area with a glass wall facing the water so everyone can be memorized by the ocean waves. Thefood is at the higher end of the price scale but deserves every bit of it a wide variety of choices that are expertly preparedand delicious. And there 's no lack of staff paying attention to you. Another bonus occasionally John performs piano in thebar next door and is so talented you might confuse him for Billy Joel or Elton John. After a couple of drinks take him up on hisoffer of karaoke but don 't worry he 's ready to fill in those high notes for you if you need help!

I was here for a special event including dinner and dancing. The food was excellent, it was a buffet style for the event, and the floors were great for dancing. There was plenty of room for all of us plus the band, the acoustics sounded fine, and all therestaurant and event staff were very polite and professional to use. I had a great time here!
