The Butchers Block - Greeneville

Delicious steak salad and the best home vinaigrette I've ever had.

This was my first visit to the butchers block and I will be back. Five . And the waiter was fab too.

Expectations were high and not met. Service was good (not great), the atmosphere was good (got great), and the food was good, but not what I ordered! I was charged for bacon wrapped filet but what was served was indistinguishable from my partners Texas Tails. The 1st clue was thin and no bacon! The server could not convincingly explain, would you like me to get you some bacon? Umm... no. When you 're paying for nice you should get nice.

Got there before they open. We were seated immediately and placed our order for 6 guest. By the time we finished ordering they had ran out of filets. We had driven an hour to get there. The steak we got were ok. We also ordered 2 meals to go. We spent over $380.00 for 8 meals (with tip). It was not worth the price. We will not be back.

Especially the sweet hostess has incredible work ethik. they answered phones, took takeover orders, seat customers, called customers to let them know that their table was ready to pay and bussing tables. and she did everything with a happy and aspiring attitude. As for eating, I've had the best steak ever in my life. no sweat. I have the texas tails and they melt in my mouth. I've been living in greeneville for two years since I got married and I'm mad at my man because I haven't told myself about this place earlier. the prices are fair. you get a big ball for your drink so you never get out of your drink. I got my salat after order about 2 minutes. my other side was a baked potato and it was delicious. this is a hole in the wall, not a ruffle type location, but it was the most satisfying eating I had in months. they're doing it here. I wish I had better photos, but I started eating before I remembered taking one.
