Uncle Mike's Bake Shoppe - Green Bay

It's truly the Doughnut King! They offer an excellent selection and are definitely a local favorite. The experience is quick and easy, and the freshness and quality of the doughnuts are a big plus. The only downside is that there's no drive-thru, but a little extra walk is beneficial anyway!

I had the chance to try a Kringle that someone else bought and thought it was quite good, which prompted me to visit Uncle Mike's for more. Unfortunately, my experience there was disappointing. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a poorly printed notice hanging awkwardly on the front door, indicating a price increase and apologizing for it. Then, as I entered the store, I observed the two employees on duty engaging in inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. Their actions were so off-putting that I felt compelled to leave without making a purchase; I refuse to support such negative behavior. On a brighter note, Uncle Mike's opens at 5 AM on Sundays, so if you want to start your day off with a sense of disappointment, this could be the place for you.

My favorite items at the restaurant are the apple cakes; they're simply delicious. The bread is also fantastic. I really enjoy their take-and-bake meals as well. My only criticism is that the frosting used on the cakes is a bit too sweet for my taste.

Mike's has a little bit of everything and it all looks sooooo good! Impressive cakes/pies/pastry as well as the selection of baked entrees. If you can't find anything you like here, you never will! You're going to pay a higher price for what is offered but so worth it! Personnel was friendly and was a clean environment.

Hands down the best bakery in northest Wisconsin. All of their baked goods are extremely good. I moved from the Green Bay area 3 years ago to Houston, TX and was so disappointed in the lack of a quality bakery that I ordered a variety 6 pack of Kringles from Uncle Mike's. I took one to work to share with my fellow workers and they couldn't stop giving praise for the taste, texture and quality of the Kringle. They all wanted more. I will definitely be ordering more to be shipped. When I'm back in Wisconsin visiting friends and relatives, Uncle Mike's is a definite stop.
