Il Café - Graz

Horrible cappuccino. No foam, can only taste milk. It is not cheap either.

Seems to be one of the nicer cafés in the area. The beans were certainly a darker roast, but weren 't burnt (unlike well over 98% of the cafes in the area), and the espresso wasn 't over extracted. The Cappuccino was certainly on the milkier side that 's not necessarily a 'bad ' thing just something worth noting if you have preferences one way or the other. With that amount of milk, any acidic fruity notes that the coffee has would get masked, and any milder chocolaty notes would be lost either. But the drink overall ends up being a lot more mellow with no particular harsh flavours (that does speak a bit about the quality of the extraction too though, as I 've had milkier drinks that have been unpalatably bitter). The one thing that could be improved is the quantity in the cup two of the three capps I ordered were overfilled and the capps spilled into the saucers by the time I carried them to the table. Having a lighter roast option or two would be pretty dope. The inside was a bit too dark and a bit too sombre for my liking, but the outside was quite nice. As an added bonus, the sparrows around there are quite bold

Excellent coffie and croisants. Service a bit slow as only 1 person is working (self service) but must admit that she was really nice, helpfull and communicative.
