Golden Gate Saloon - Grass Valley

They have expanded the menu since the last time I was here. I love new options. I had the tagliatelle bolognese which was excellent. Cocktails are always excellent. Staff and service were perfect.

Drinks are very expensive and weak. When I asked the bar tender to make mine a little stronger my gin and tonic was basically all tonic he abliged but didn't tell me he would charge me for a whole other drink.

First time at this place. The food was good but not great by a long shot, it was extremely salty and barely edible. I did not finish it because it was too salty. Did the chef even taste this stuff before he sent it out, I don't think so. The service could have been a little better, there was long gaps between seeing the waitstaff. The atmosphere was nice being in an old hotel.

Excellent food and ambience. Service was a little slow for only 4 customers all over the place. Love the mood!!

Very romantic place for Valentine's Day! Stop for a special drink before over Cirionos in Grass Valley. The hotel is located on the main street in Grass Valley with a historical hotel and stories of GHOStS, which are home to this hotel/bar/restaurant. Old, but rebuilt elevator. Smoked chicken wings are great as they have a smoker in the backyard. Friendly and stylish atmosphere. Get the chocolate old from Kawika and you are set!
