I stopped into Monica's Restaurant in the Stanford Inn today with a co-worker and hit their buffet. It was excellent. I had the bbq Pork, Montreal Smoked Meat, Mashed potatoes and two different veggie salads. I ate so much that I had no room for dessert. Next time, I'm hitting the dessert table first.
Staying at the Stanford, stopped in for breakfast this morning and had a cute young lady named Misty take my order. Very friendly and sweet. My food was ready in minutes and was delicious Great server. Thanks Misty!
We had my wife's parents 50th anniversary here. Absolutely fantastic!! We are from out of province, and planned it all over the phone. We had a seperate room that they set up beautifully. We pre-ordered a cake that they never even asked for a deposit on. There were 23 of us, and food was all served in a very reasonable time. Our waitress was very attentive with drinks and keeping everything in order. The food was all very good. Thank you Anil for providing a perfect atmosphere!!
I work in the oil field and usually I'm in camp, far from town, and have my meals taken care of for me. This particular job I'm working 55km from Grande Prairie and staying at the Stanford Hotel. We work 13 hours and travel for two more a day. I am working nightshift, so the opportunity for a proper meal is limited. This morning after work a fellow workmate and friend suggested breakfast, and I happily joined him as I've been living on trail mix and yoghurt the last few evenings. We sat down and were greeted by a tiny, happy bundle of cuteness and energy named Misty, who was able to make us feel special while buzzing around and keeping everyone equally as entranced and satisfied. She greeted regulars by name made newcomers feel like family. My meal was the meat lovers omelette and sourdough toast, both of which were cooked(toasted) ideally and served hot. My meal was tasty, and filling, I finished everything, was regularly coffeed, and just as regularly charmed by our serving pixie! I happily paid for my meal, and went off to bed, feeling like I'd discovered an oasis of homeliness in a desert of hard work! My last comment is to the review before mine: you attract the kind of service and manner that you project--get over yourself, or if need be, under someone else before you go out and whine about every aspect of a restaurant!
