The parking lot is adjacent to the Super 8 Motel so sometimes patrons from the Motel take some of the parking for the sushi restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessibility is on the south side of the building. The entire restaurant is on the ground floor and so is the entryway. There is no steps to get in this restaurant.Dietary restrictions: If you let them know that you are unable to eat a certain kind of food, typically they will do their best to accommodate you.
This is the best sushi in grande prairie! They have the most friendly staff and the best portions for the price! Highly recommend
Our group of around 30 people was asked to pre-order a week in advance in order for the restaurant to prepare everything. However, I would not recommend going to this restaurant with a large group again. Upon arrival, we were informed that they did not have the lemon ice cream listed on their menu, despite our pre-order. Some members of our group received their food quickly, while others had to wait up to an hour. There was also a mix-up with an order, resulting in one person receiving the wrong dish. My chicken Teriyaki dish lacked flavor and the chicken was dry and overcooked. Another guest received a chicken dish that was so overcooked it was inedible. Overall, it seemed that the restaurant was unable to handle a large group like ours and should reconsider allowing such bookings in the future.
The elderly male server was extremely impolite to us. When we requested an item from the lunch menu for a lighter dinner, he suggested that we go to McDonald's instead, where they serve breakfast and lunch all day. There was no apology given for his rude response. Despite the issue not being about the price, he proceeded to ignore us and chose to sit at the front desk instead. We decided to leave the restaurant.
I ordered some sashimi, sushi, and sushi rolls. The sushi pieces were great, especially the Saba mackerel and salmon hand cone. Unfortunately, the sashimi was not so good - it was overly waterlogged and didn't taste very fresh. The assorted tempura took a while to arrive, and when it did, it was lukewarm and greasy, making me believe they had forgotten my order. Overall, my experience was disappointing and not to my taste. I probably won't be returning. I gave it 3 stars mainly for the good sushi pieces, but the rest of the meal was lackluster.
