Compass Rose - Grand Manan

Fantastic view. Excellent food and service. Little pricey, but food was quality. This is located at the Compass Rose B&B and is right on the water and next to the main road. Close to the ferry. If you walked on the ferry, it's an easy walk to this location.

Very nice comfortable Bed and Breakfast. Very clean and ocean view. Very friendly proprietor who was very eager to please. Great fixed breakfast, each morning different and delicious. Good French press coffee ! Home made French toast, crispy perfect bacon was my favorite ! Dinner was excellent, all with ocean views. Great hikes and beautiful light houses on this 15 mile island with a busy working waterfront.

Wonderful setting by the sea, great food including wines for all tastes. Reservations required as they are very busy and it is one of the best places to eat on the island. Not really suitable for families with young children as there is no fast food available.

Blueberry pancakes and maple syrup...can't get more Canadian than that!!!! nice setting overlooking the harbour. Good coffee, quick service

Service was fast and very friendly, decor is perfect for a proper maritime restaurant and the food is excellent. We had the best haddock we've ever had and we've had a lot of haddock over the years. A nice glass of wine on their deck overlooking the harbour as the sun set was a great way to start our meal.
