Applebee's Grill And Grand Forks

UPDATE...4-29-22 to my opinion, the best bartender in the city. they have really built a full bar of regular mozens, the good service and about the top customer relationships! great value. it's great to see the personal back in the friendly neighborhood mindset! (cue cheers theme song)

I enjoyed applebees in many other states, but I was not satisfied with this in grand forks. I came to enjoy appetizers that I usually do. (1) the food proportions were smaller than what I am used to put on others. the pictures for the waffel fries online on their menu look like it was a series of fries, but I did not see many on my teller, (2) the chicken wonton tacos lacked any taste except the skin that was a funny and light version of wonton crisps, but in shell form. the tacos had only mayo based coleslaw and the huh (but I asked to replace shrimp and the friendly waitress said she could have the kitchen substitute huhn for shrimp so that I was happy at first but when the bill came I complained $4 that she didn't tell me what confused and disappointed me because the waiter said that I was a good guy and that I said that I was a good guy. I won't be back to these applebees. but this is mainly because I was told that I would be able to replace garnel for huh, so I assumed that in any food facility that it means that I am not charged. So I didn't like that I was not told or given a choice to keep it all vegetarian with extra sweetness, as I don't eat any chicken or any kind of meat. but I would be afraid to be charged for the extra sweet daré I ask.

We have been here a few times and the food and service is ok sometimes and very bad other times. Our server was very good and got us whatever we wanted very fast. They also got our food out hot. My steak wasn’t done properly and was tough. The waffle fry appetizer was soggy and undercooked. Who wants to go to Applebee’s by themselves?

It was really quick service, but they put only 2 really small pieces chicken in the food.

Lots of options, service was good not great, I really don't expect a lot but there was bacon on my wife's meal(she's a vegetarian) but she pretty much got full from the sides, and when she told the waitress, the waitress had them remake it and charged us for a second meal! Then had the charge removed and showed us that on the bill like she was doing us a favor?!? We never asked for a second meal and if we knew we'd be charged we would rather just not say anything as my wife was full anyway. A manager came to our table and tried to explain that it was for inventory that they had to put it on the bill that way (never heard of that and I've worked in the kitchen before) they ended up discounting the original meal %50 even though we just wanted to pay for what we ordered so we could leave.
