Sakura Japanese Steakhouse

Eating and service was amazing! I ate so much! the place is clean and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. we go every time in a place in this restaurant, probably more when we lived closer. the sushi reels and bubbled are our favorites. the atmosphere is amazing and my children love to see the waterfalls and bambus and Japanese inspired decor. I love that I don't have to hush my children all the time in the restaurant because there is so much between hibachi grill and the birthday song. I would recommend friends and family to go here for a nice evening trip in sakura in grand forks.

Love sakura. I often come here, but otherwise out, mine like that and I always keep them in our line-up for potential date night locations. Drinks are delicious, eating is great and it is quite cheap. they always have special rolling for a limited time, which are large. service is always great. they also have a reward program.

Sakura does not measure when it comes to the roasted rice. omg, I just went for that and crab rangoon. All right. you have to try. the drinks are good, along with the spring rolls. if you are looking for japanese, this is your place. they also do hibachi with reservations. it is even cool, they offer a rewarding program for frequent visitors!

We had lillik as a sever and he was AMAZING! We brought our 3 kids with us and he gave them balloons along with the kids that were across the table. If we could have him every time we would. He was attentive and just an overall great server. He went over and above all expectations as a server. The food was also amazing and the cook was so fun with the kids. This restaurant is perfect for families even with little kids.

Benihana-like restaurant with live chefs (2 hibachi stations) and the rest of the restaurant is for sit downs. We had hibachi at the sit down area of the restaurant so we did not get to see our food being made (interesting show) and our food doesn’t come as fresh… I would not recommend it! I was not given the choice. If you plan to have the hibachi, it is worth it to sit down at the hibachi section (where the chef cook live in front of you). The cocktails were divine especially for $7 (Aug 2022). The outside of the restaurant is unassuming though plenty of parking is handy. I’d recommend this place for ‘fine’ dining in Grand Forks, North Dakota where options are limited.
