The quality of the food vrs cost is completely disproportionate! We paid for example for a mixed ceviche more than a thousand colones .... very high prices for what is offered! I would not recommend it

Excellent in EVERY way, from the amazing menu options including a whole menu of vegetarian and vegan options, regular seafood and meat options, delightful and artistically presented appetizers and a large drink menu. The service was stellar. I wish we had come closer.

My husband had the black burger, and he liked it (even if the bacon was undercooked); the beef was delicious. I ordered the tuna and thought it was grilled for the main course, but I didn't watch it was just a larger part of the appetizer. There were three reels of thin tuna wrapped around guacamole, sitting in a large puddle of very salty soy sauce. Underwhelming. What I really wanted was a big fresh salad, but I'm sorry there's not much choice for salads. I had also hoped to gourmet versions of Costa Rican traditional dishes such as Casado or tamal, or even something simple like rice and beans, but Makoko tried unsuccessfully to be eclectic and imagination.

Service is always wonderful. The Black Burger and the Pommes are the best meals I have eaten here so far in our stay.

Excellent service with a wonderful outdoor covered dining area. The staff is very polite and attentive.
