Goderich Harbour Restaurant

Yesterday we were in Goderich and because we heard the fish and chips were really good We had to stop in for lunch. Wow, best fish and chips ever !!!! We live in Tavistock and we will take the drive to Goderich. Food was great, staff was great, thank you !

I was on holiday visiting relatives in a nearby town. We made the effort to travel 30 minutes to enjoy the great view of Lake Huron, the super friendly staff, and to experience the beautiful building and a wonderful meal.We sat on the patio thoroughly enjoying the view and our meal.When next in the area I will definitely reserve a spot on the patio.

On Saturday August 6, I preordered 6 meals to be picked up at 6:30. The person took my order and said there was no problem fulfilling it. When we arrived at 6:30 to pick up food the restaurant was closed. No phone call. No sign on door. Locked up tight. Terrible way to do business. We will definitely never go there again.

If your website states you are open from noon to seven on Sunday, and if for any reason you can't open that day, you owe it to your potential patrons to post a notice indicating why you are closed. We were three of a handful of people standing around and trying to open a door that was locked. We felt more than a little annoyed. Get with the program, guys!

We often visit Goderich but this was our first time at this restaurant - It won't be our last - Excellent fish and chips with a choice of coatings served in large portions in a friendly pretty atmosphere - Outside tables are also available - Ice cold bottled beer served with a frozen glass - My kind of place ! Highly recommended -
