We ordered grilled prawns as an entree (only 3 prawns, can't remember price but none of us thought they were worth it) and the zucchini fritters with smoked salmon and avocado. The fritters were small but overall the dish was filling and tasty. The price for these was reasonable. My friend ordered a burger (I think it was wagyu) and it was tiny - she even said so herself and she won't normally say so. My other friend had mushroom soup. She said it was very tasty but otherwise (for me), not a very exciting dish. It's a nice enough environment but I'd go next door to Hunters if I was in the area.I would
I must say, this restaurant was a fantastic discovery. Housed in a large old warehouse, it had a cozy ambiance with its oversized wooden furniture, a beautiful fireplace, and amazing food.
I went to this restaurant for lunch with two colleagues. We ordered grilled shrimp skewers and duck confit, which only had 3 pieces of meat (I don't remember the price, but we all agreed it wasn't worth it), as well as zucchini fritters with smoked salmon and avocado. The fritters were small, but overall the meal was filling and delicious. The prices were reasonable. One of my friends ordered a burger, possibly wagyu, and it was so small that even she admitted it. My other friend had the mushroom soup, which she found very tasty but not very exciting. The atmosphere was pleasant, but if I were in the area, I would prefer to go to Hunters next time.
As a local, I frequent this restaurant multiple times a week to buy their delicious and healthy salads. The chicken and leek pie is also exceptional. I often have coffee here as well, as they use a great blend that is smooth and delicious whether as a long black or a latte. This is the best "home-cooked" cafe I have ever visited.
