Gold Restaurant - Glen Eira

Glen has a sizable Indian community, resulting in some great Indian cuisine options. While slightly on the pricier side, the flavors are top-notch. The variety of curries may be limited for larger groups, but sharing a few dishes (under 5 or 6) allows for a sample of everything. The restaurant boasts a peaceful ambience, and its quality food speaks for itself, overshadowing other nearby eateries.

I strongly advise against ordering or dining at this restaurant as I had a very negative experience.

I live near to this restaurant and been there multiple times. IMHO, it's very overrated restaurant. To start with, the service is very poor. I was served main course first and later served the soup starters. When complained, was told Chef prepared them in...that order. The plates were not washed properly and had to request to change them. Always, there will be just only one person serving the customers irrespective of the crowd. Once, it took me around 10-15 mins to take the order and another 15-20 mins to serve the food. Food is good but very expensive. Ambience is very nice and the old couple who own the restaurant always welcome customers with a nice smile. Only advantage with this restaurant is it's Just Veg. For vegetarians like me, it's difficult to find such restaurants. But If I've multiple options available, for sure, I won't go there again.

The staff is very excellent really the food taste was truly indian with a balance of masalas , not too spicy , served very hot , good service and good taste , food was served in 20 mins but i guess due to rush it...was normal , great tandoori roti and other dishes , one of tastiest dal makhani in melbourne , will come again , guys keep it up !!!

Love this restaurant i think it has a real authentic taste of indian food, love the chaat item and love there chaat shop
