Some of the burgers were really good ,mine was not so. The staff is really nice and coffee great. The menu is limited if you dont eat pork. I will try one more time. The salad looked great, I will go for that next time.
Went here for the first time recently, and was pleasantly surprised. Good food, good service, standard brunch pricing. One minor complaint - the tea was given with the tea leaves already taken out, so one has no control about the strength of it. Apart from that, would recommend!
We were impressed from the moment we walked in and the two mothers were given flowers for Mothers Day. The coffee was great and so I had two cups. The food was exactly as I ordered and delicious. There were gluten free options and my FODMAP daughter was able to have breakfast with minimal fuss. The service was prompt and very friendly. Every staff member I spoke with was warm and obliging. There is outside covered seating with heaters overhead. It would be a little cramped during busy times if you're in a wheelchair but the staff are so great, I'm sure they'd make it work.We will definitely go back.
This is my third visit to this bustling cool little cafe that only opened some months ago, and it won't be my last! I love their ethos: "Georgie Porgie is local organic and free range: it’s delicious and in season." The dishes have been carefully considered and thoughtful executed. The menu is progressive and beautifully presented and makes choosing what to eat very difficult, but in the best way. Do I have the oat porridge with slow cooked peach, almond praline, lavender, or the Georgie Porgies’ pudding and pie bread and butter pudding, apple compote, mascarpone, apple pie crumbs? And did I see a Golden Gaytime shake in the menu? Holy heck!?! Or maybe the lemon meringue hotcakes with crisp meringue, lemon curd, milk crumb, lemon verbena syrup or the kale and broccolini breakfast salad, avocado, labne, sprouted mung beans, poached egg when I want something savoury. Decisions decisions. That's even before you check the specials or their fabulous hot beverage selection, or lunch for that matter. Delightedly they do a vegan chai for all the vegans and fructose malabsorbers, and the owner/manager is considerate to those with special diets and will happily assist to modify dishes where possible. Thankfully it doesn't have the deafening ambiance that so many cool places have. It is a very easy place to while away a few hours with the chilled music and gently hum of people. Do yourself a favour and head to Georgie Porgie!
