Staff couldn't have been friendlier, or the food tastier. We go to Japan regularly, and the food here is very authentic. We had the pork belly, the scallops, a soba salad, ribs, miso eggplant, salmon and soy tempura, and the whiting. Each dish was spot on, presented beautifully with complex flavours and superb ingredients. Of course, with all Asian restaurants I eat my fill of savoury dishes and skip the deserts.
Stumbled across this restaurant around the corner from our short stay apartment. Friendly service, attentive but over the top. All the dishes have delicious, tasty and clean uncomplicated flavours. Excellent selection of wine, Japanese beers and sake too
For me En Izkaya is superior to Sake Melbourne, more affordable and the food is amazing. The menu changes so you never get bored, specials menu is just as exciting. Great wine, service is sublime and the food delicious!
It was an excellent Japanese dinner with 4 courses plus dessert. Very good food prepared and served with great care. Like in Japan! The restaurant, not very big, was crowded and I think reservations were necessary. I also recommend it for the quality - price ratio.
Our friends and ourselves had eaten here before, enjoyed and decided to revisit. It was worth the exercise. The meals on the special luncheon menus are most moderately priced and they are generous with the proportions. Cleanly served at a good rate if you are having a Luncheon break from the Office or work. I like it.
