Dog's Bar - Glen Eira

We have family in St Kilda and so visit that area quite regularly. Every time we are in St Kilda, we make a point of going to Dog's Bar. The food and drink are lovely, but what really sets it apart is the atmosphere and the people. Cozy, friendly, inviting both indoors and out, year round. Special shout-out to Ryan, who always welcomes us back with kind words and a friendly smile.

Apparently it's a Melbourne 'institution' I was informed by my local friends. We arrived at 3.30 and it was quiet. We were dubious. Our friends arrived, service improved and the music started. We had several bottles of wine, lots of bowls of chips, listened to some music and had a great time. there is a nice relaxed atmosphere and good service.

A Great Dane, Kelpie and Bulldog walk into a bar. After a couple of butt sniffs they get comfy in the laid back bar and relax in the cosy environment listening to the live music that is playing away.

Great live music every night. Always full. Great atmosfere. Highly recommend a visit. Digs welcome;))

On a cool night this was perfect. Real comfort food. We had lamb shanks which was perfectly cooked and eye filet done to perfection. Inside was full so we went outside. Small problem as the smokers were outside as well. Really good service but be prepared to wait 20 plus minutes for our choices. Good selection of wines. Am told the music is excellent but we didn't stay that long. Great atmosphere
