Yuga Cafe - GLEBE

Always a pleasant experience to dine in this café. The veranda session in the warm sun is a perfect brunch setting. The service and the food always pleasant. I had the poached eggs on toast ($ 9) with Yuga tomatoes and capsicum relish with a soy latte, and my friend had the peasant breakfast ($ 13.50) and soy cappucino.

Rustic cafe next to a florist, which is part of the complex. Cafe seems popular with locals and everyone seems to know who I think is the owner. The service is friendly and inviting. I had the breakfast of the farmer. When it came first, it did not look like something special, but the taste was delicious. The onion is delicious. Served with a selection of white or multigrain toast (Multigrain seemed to be soy and flaxseed today). I had a chai latte to go.

A pleasant French Japanese fusion cafe, which has become part of the breakfast scene in Glebe in the last ten years. Always tasty and well presented dishes served with a little finesse.

Small restaurant not far from the university campus that doubles as a floral shop, but the Sicilian owner makes you extremely welcome and offers you a truly personal treatment. We got first small appetizers and olives - maybe the best that I have ever eaten. Two of us got a fish dish, and another colleague got risotto, and all was extremely delightful and tasty. The menu was quite extensive, and I had a hard time deciding on my dish, but then went for the special of the day, which was really special. I loved this restaurant.

We eat here every couple of weeks for lunch with friends and enjoy it every time. Ben is unfailingly upbeat and welcoming, and the menu is based on fresh food done with panache. We like to try different items because they often have a flavour or texture surprise, and the food is never boring. The place reminds me of little bistros in Europe, but with a Japanese sense of style adding to the mix. A great place for breakfast or lunch.
