Sakura - GIRDWOOD

As always, the service was outstanding, and the food was fantastic. My husband and I love sitting at the sushi bar, where we can watch the chefs create their dishes. This time, Johnny, the chef right in front of us, was incredibly helpful in suggesting different items to sample. Every recommendation he made was delicious. Sakura is one of our favorite restaurants in Girdwood.

Without a doubt, this is the best sushi restaurant in all of Alaska! It's the only place I’ve come across that offers an assortment of fresh Alaskan salmon. The chefs are fantastic, and sitting at the bar is always a delightful experience. Great staff, a beautiful ambiance, and vibrant flavors—thank you!

It was an incredible experience. Our maître d' was outstanding, and the food was exceptional. It was a truly special evening, and we will always remember the warmth and hospitality of everyone there. Thank you very much!

The sakura was ok not great like the Katsura (former Name) It was an over priced benihana. Service was better at Denny's.

Four of us dined this past weekend, and the food was good, but not great considering the price. One of us ordered the steak and added shrimp, and the shrimp were overcooked. Steak and vegetables were ok. Not bad, but not terrific. Service was mediocre. The server had too many people to wait on at one time. It wasn't terrible, but considering the price (about 60-75 a person with an appetizer, drink and a scoop of ice cream for desert), you expect to get really great on the spot service. We had to compete for our server's attention with about 14 other people seated around the table. I have been to the Sushi Bar of Sakura twice before and it was excellent! Most definitely recommended. But the other side, not so much
