Jawi House Cafe Gallery - George Town

We're visiting Penang (my second time to Malaysia) and had dinner here last night following a recommendation by a friend. The service was very good and food amazing! I was glad that my children didn't finish all their food, it gave me a chance to generously taste some of theirs! Prices are reasonable, you do get what you pay for. Highly recommend this little hidden gem, and I'd suggest reserving a table in advance!

This is my 2nd time here..and for my daughter, it is her 4th time. As usual, the food here didnt disappoint us.. Service was good; food arrive fast, taste was superb and portion was spot on! We ordered nasi lemuni with ayam ros, nasi dagang with curry chicken, cucur udang/prawn fritters very generous with the prawns....another plus point), mango salad and sago pudding..plus 2 jugs of pandan infused drink. All taste lovely. Well done!!!

This little delightful cafe is not only full of old world charm but brilliant staff who know their menu and efficient customer service. The food is just sublime!!! Delicious fusion of Arab/Indian/Malay/Chinese and much more! Basically it's superb and we will be returning!!

Portion fits the price. Excellent service wonderful food! If possible, book in advance for best experience.

They served one of the best Briyani in Penang Island. A hidden jewel near the Armenian road. Find the place through Google Map and miss the place twice. Had to go through the street along the Armenian road to find the cafe. The quality of food is good and the staff is helpful and friendly. Place is decorated with nostalgic photos. Many foreigners and tourists visited the place. Very recommended place for lunch or dinner when you visit Penang Island.
