Marina View - Geelong

We love sitting on the deck at the Yacht Club having a great coffee and fresh hot muffins! Lovely friendly service, light lunch meals also available

Three of us had lunch here recently and thought the food was good, although a limited menu, but the service was excellent. The view is good and so pleasant to be looking at Corio Bay and the Yachts. We had been out for lunch quite a few times over this period and thought our waitress there was the best of many we encountered.

Visited for lunch after a charity event in Geelong, with friends. Marina View treats you as a 'member' even though you may not be. Superb waterfront location on a spring afternoon. A reasonable selection of food and all of good quality and good prices. Drinks are available from the bar at good prices. Being Geelong we ordered fish/seafood and were not disappointed. Service is good and there is a choice of indoor/outdoor tables. For a fair price, this is a good venue for the ambience and scenery in the daytime.

I would recommend breakfast or lunch at this very basic cafe leased to the RK Group, but not dinner! During the day you can watch a bit of activity as skippers come and go working on their yachts. At night there is nothing to see except for the blazing fleuro lights overhead, so zero for ambience. You order at the counter and pay for your meal in advance, reminds me of years gone by in pubs. Our meal was adequate but when we asked for coffee, was told that we don't do coffee at night and the machine was off! We were astounded to say the least. There are plenty of well priced competitors for us to try near by, and yes they even serve coffee after dark!

Popped in for the first time for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Nice lunch, great view and the service was fabulous. Will be back
