Get Burgered - Geelong

Horrible. I loved the place when it was called 'Waterfront Seafood' - the service, the food, the atmosphere. Now all 3 are gone. The food: I ordered the vegetarian option which worked out incredibly dry (enough to actually make you need at least 2 glasses of water during the meal), virtually empty (2 VERY thin slices of tomato, a couple lettuce leaves and the smallest amount of spread - did they forget something?), and just plain boring and bland. Service: no waiter/waitress looked in my direction for the 40 minutes I stayed (it was more of test to see if anyone would), even when I tried to get their attention. The statement implies no one had the care to ask how my meal was, or whether I would like a drink. The atmosphere was cold and uninviting, probably exacerbated due to the level of service - the number of staff, and their interest.It seems they are just desperate for money and customers, but fail to acknowledge the customers that are already present.There isn't one thing I like about this place any longer to be honest. The salt and pepper calamari was a good dish, but now with the 50% price jump alongside the atmosphere of the place, I am no longer interested.

The location is great. That's about it.. The food was bland and tasteless. Portion size small, was ridiculously overpriced for what you got, obviously paying the rent. We left hungry and disappointed. Won't be going back.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere for dinner. As the name indicates, burgers are the speciality, but at a higher quality that the fast food variety. There are also non-burger options on the menu,. The prices were reasonable. The place was almost empty so we could spread out on a larger table. Once dinner is over, the music was cranked up for a different clientèle ,so it was time for us oldies to go home to bed.

The most disappointing meal in many many years!I had one of the daily specials - described as a Vietnamese Chicken Roll. What was served had dry over cooked chicken pieces with some lettuce, a bit of tomato, 2 or three leaves of mint and 2 or 3 leaves of coriander, some aoili or mayonnaise and a slight sprinkle of a bottled sauce on top - all served in a hot dog roll .... seriously! It was edible but flavourless. I would expect far more from a street van or school fund raiser. My wife ordered another "special' a pumpkin, ginger and chickpea soup with Parmesan bread. The soup was a good sized serve and better than the above but lacked seasoning and the Parmesan bread never came... even after the waiter was told that they hadn't served the bread. His reply was "no, there is no bread with that".... really?I guess we should have had the burgers. I doubt we'll go back to try them when Geelong has so many more good places to get a light meal.

A work mate and I called into Get Burgered this week, after eating at the pizza restaurant the night before. We decided on the Wagu cheese burger. It was great, and the side serve of chips were amongst the best I've had. Sweets were good as well, and the beer was cold. What more could you ask for! Service was good too! Well done guys.
