The Elwes Arms - Gedling

Not for me.but it's a pub that's surviving and local good luck to them.

I visit The Elews every week and love all the new things they are bringing in. I often go for the carvery and recently attended their karaoke night. I am looking forward to their upcoming bingo night. I can't wait to see what else they organize. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere is always perfect.

It has a lot of potential, but I think only as a food based pub. It's on a dead end road so apart from the locals no passing trade. I would like to see bar snacks all day and proper pub restaurant food. I have an interest in seeing this business succeed as it will hopefully soon be my local. Bring on the food even if it's simple and creates no waste.

Service very poor food terrible I found hairs in mine!

Not lived in the area long so obviously thought we’d try one of the local pubs. I think reading by past reviews this place once was great but my god it’s gone downhill fast. The food was inedible and the place looks like nobody’s looked after it for a few years. Staff were nice but they we’re having to deal with too many all day drinkers swearing and generally being obnoxious. I couldn’t recommend a quick drink here never mind a meal.
