Seasons Of Ober - Gatlinburg

I visited this restaurant while on vacation with my family during a quieter midweek period. Unfortunately, our server was quite irritable and impatient. The food appeared to be decent, but I completely lost my appetite when I saw two large cockroaches crawl across the fireplace right next to my chair. Everywhere else in town was spotless, so there's really no excuse for this; they definitely need to address their pest control issues!

The restaurant is situated at the top of a mountain, so the prices reflect that. The menu offers a variety of options to choose from. My wife ordered the house salad with ranch dressing, while I opted for the fiery BBQ burger with seasoned fries. Just to clarify, this is not a military location.

Excellent service! I have celiac disease, and I noticed that the menu doesn't indicate any gluten-free options. I decided to order the black bean burger without the bun. Our server assured me that it would be prepared safely. The fries were fantastic, and so far, I haven't had any reactions.

This place is just ok. Not a lot of options and very little that you couldn't find anywhere else. The appeal is that it's on top of a mountain (cool! If I could rate 0 stars I would. I was with a party of 12 and we got seated within five minutes. It took us 10 minutes just to be greeted and another 10 for our waters. The menu had only select options they didn't even have chicken tenders for kids or anything like a kids menu. We ordered for appetizers for the table which we did not receive until an hour after ordering. After that the food took another 30 minutes and the food was incorrect and very cold. Our server apparently was from Turkey and did not understand English that well and when I asked for the pork that was supposed to come on top of my food he gave me a gravy sauce and told me that it was pork roin. We asked for a manager multiple times and the staff told us that the manager had went home for the day. Finally a bus boy brought a supervisor over to us and the supervisor told us that he would take off one of the meals and give us a 25% discount and apologized for our server saying he did not understand with the language barrier. Someone who doesn't understand English should not be working at a this restaurant. After that our server did not come up to our table once we had no boxes and we are waiting for a check for 20 minutes after asking the supervisor. We all got up from the table and stood by the hostess and saying at this point we just want to pay for our food and go and it still took 10 minutes for us to get the receipt. When we finally received the receipt it was still incorrect they put everything all together instead of splitting the checks like we told our server as soon as we sat down. I would not recommend this place to anybody if you are going to over eat beforehand or eat after because the food there was disgusting and the service was even worse.
