The brisket was cooked perfectly and the burnt ends carried so much flavor and just absolutely melted in my mouth. The pork was delicious too. Oh the greens had such a savory flavor I could've just ate those alone. The Mac n cheese was creamy with plenty of cheese. I was worried about the burnt ends because of their warning but that ended up being my favorite part. Definitely recommend!
Really good barbecue. We loved the burnt ends and the ribs. Mac and cheese was good too. Good sized portions.
Waited to be seated. While one waitstaff was running around doing multiple tasks, three others were seated at the bar chatting. Ordered the grilled chicken, potato salad and green bean meal. The grilled chicken was out in under 5 minutes . There were no grill marks, the chicken was more likely microwaved, it was a tiny piece or dry, dry, gross, clearly not fresh piece of meat. The potato salad which I figured the south was famous for, was like something I could have purchased at a grocery store in a huge tub for $5. The green beans were cold and tasted like they came straight out of a can. Worst meal of the trip. Save your money and find an authentic smoke house.
Perfect little home-cooked vibe and some delicious BBQ. It was Friday afternoon, but food came out super quick and service was very prompt! Got the combo where you pick 3 meats to try, and they had burnt ends so HAD to have those. Yum yum. For 2 adult meals and a kids meal, we spent around $50. And got a whole meal in leftovers to take home. So definitely cannot complain and we’ll go back when we’re back in town!
We were excited to try this place because of the great reviews. People that say this is the best bbq they’ve ever had… have never had real bbq and don’t know any better. We tried the Texan sampler and added burnt ends. Beef brisket, chicken, ribs, and pulled pork were so DRY. I mean, DRYYYYYY to the point where sauce didn’t make a difference. Burnt ends were literally just soaked in oil to make it moist. It wasn’t crispy or had any taste beyond oil. The only good thing was the sausage. The cole slaw was chopped finely and watery. The mac and cheese had no flavor. The biscuits and blueberry pie were good though. Maybe we came on an off day? That is NOT pit bbq. Maybe our true Texan standards for bbq are too high. :
