Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I had breakfast and tried the new hash-brown tots, which were just okay; I still prefer the classic hash-brown casserole. It seems like The Barrel may have changed their grits recipe, or perhaps they’re using a different product? Unfortunately, they weren't very good and that was disappointing. On the bright side, everything else was delicious! The bacon was crispy just the way I like it, and the biscuits were much better than usual—soft, fluffy, and warm. I also appreciated that the butter was served at room temperature, making it much easier to spread. Saved the best for last, though—our server, Kimm (with two m’s), was fantastic! She provided friendly, attentive, and courteous service, which was such a refreshing change after the employee shortages due to COVID. Thank you, Kimm, for a lovely dining experience!

I took my 9-year-old to meet my grandmother for lunch, and the staff was fantastic. We waited about 29 minutes, which is typical for this place, especially since we arrived around noon on a Saturday. The food was incredible; I highly recommend the hash brown casserole! We also found some wonderful gifts for my mother, who lives out of state and adores lighthouses and anything beach-related. They were a great deal from their sale table. Keep up the excellent work, team!

I really appreciated the variety of drink options available. I ordered a latte, which was tasty. The food itself was pretty standard. I was pleased to see that they now offer Impossible sausage for breakfast. I enjoyed exploring the shop while I waited. Although they were quite busy, we were seated quickly. The bathrooms could have been cleaner, but I understand they were overwhelmed on a Sunday.

Food was amazing this morning! 7/23/22 Saturday morning. Our wait was 40 mins it was worth it. The music on the front porch was early 2000s Country and it was a whole mood. The hash brown casserole with eggs was amazing. Blueberry pancakes wasgreat! Our waitress was Spanish, and I think maybe her name was Lizbeth? Anyway she was very sweet and good service!

We Celebrated my Bro Larry Dodd birthday today, our meals were great and our server Donna was on top of things. Donna you were awesome, you need a raise!
